Location | Orlando, FL |
Situation and Goals
Florida Hospital Foundation in Orlando, rebranded as AdventHealth Foundation Central Foundation in 2019, served seven metro-Orlando hospitals in the early 2000’s. Those hospitals focused fundraising on multiple special events which combined were netting just over $2 Million per year. With the 100th anniversary approaching –- and a resulting campaign goal to raise $100 Million over the next five years – PRIDE’s focus was in two key areas: individual major gifts and hospital team member/employee giving.
Strategy
Launch employee giving, partnered with Nike, to help generate excitement and maximize visibility by offering employee donors at different levels a variety of Nike "swag" with Florida Hospital logo
Conduct individual interviews with Foundation board members designed to connect with major gift donors and volunteers who could partner with Foundation staff in acquiring $50,000+ gifts
Interviewees identified more interviewees, resulting in over 360 1:1 meetings with high dollar individual gift prospects, the majority of whom were new referrals from board interviews -- previously not in donor pipeline
Train development officers at each hospital in major gift processes for their specific service line areas
Results
Initial employee campaign exceeded $1 Million in gifts in the first five months, with totals continuing to increase over the next five years
Through adjusted priorities from special events to major gifts, 100th anniversary campaign exceeded $100 Million goal
